Have your say on Australia’s Measurement laws.

Australian businesses and consumers rely on accurate measurement to make the most of their money.

The National Measurement Act and related legislation help regulate measurement in Australia.

The Department of Industry, Innovation and Science is seeking your views on how to ensure the national measurement framework continues to meet the needs of Australians now and into the future.  The key issues which the Department is seeking you input on at this time are:

  • how parties outside government can help to give consumers confidence that they are getting what they pay for
  • the suitability of the current compliance arrangements and enforcement options under Australia’s measurement legislation
